Yann Mounir Demange is a French-Algerian filmmaker born in Paris and raised in London, now working with Park Pictures for the U.S. and UK. He won the British Independent Film Award for Best Director for his feature debut '71 (2014), a thriller set during The Troubles in Northern Ireland. He directed the first four episodes of BAFTA-nominated crime drama Top Boy, the pilot of HBO's Lovecraft Country, and the BAFTA-nominated series Deadset. His feature White Boy Rick (2018) starred Matthew McConaughey. In 2024, his semi-autobiographical short Dammi, starring Riz Ahmed and Isabelle Adjani, premiered at Locarno and TIFF before releasing on MUBI. In commercials, he has directed campaigns for Nike (including 'Chance,' 'Future is Fast,' and 'NFL Air Raid'), Meta/Instagram, Pinterest, FIFA/EA Sports, Johnnie Walker, Eli Lilly, Lululemon, BYD/Denza, Mercedes, and Fox Sports. His 2022 Meta Summer Olympics campaign won the AICP Advertising Excellence/Campaign honor. His 2021 Pinterest spot 'You Might Surprise Yourself' via Droga5 NY earned industry recognition. He is set to direct the feature Blade.
