Bio & background

Trish Sie is a Los Angeles–based director and choreographer who entered filmmaking in 2006 with the single-take treadmill video “Here It Goes Again” for OK Go, shot in her Orlando dance studio; it won the Grammy for Best Short-Form Music Video. Further OK Go collaborations—including the interactive Google Chrome experiment “All Is Not Lost,” “White Knuckles,” and the zero-gravity S7 Airlines piece “Upside Down & Inside Out”—drew additional Grammy nominations, a Smithsonian Ingenuity Award, and multiple Cannes Lions. That music-and-movement vocabulary translated into commercials for Sony, Carl’s Jr., Häagen-Dazs, Captain D’s, Levi’s, Old Navy, Dole, Hunt’s, Big Lots, Texas Lottery, Fox Classic Movies, and Mantis, with recognition from Creativity Magazine and Saatchi & Saatchi’s New Directors Showcase at Cannes. Feature credits include the native-3D dance film Step Up All In (Summit/Lionsgate, 2014; more than $90 million worldwide), Pitch Perfect 3 (Universal, 2017), Netflix’s The Sleepover (2020), Sitting in Bars with Cake (2023), and Players (2024), plus Kirby Buckets episodes and festival shorts. She remains a Pilobolus collaborator. Commercials: Bob Industries (U.S.); narrative: United Talent Agency.
