Toby Pike is a multidisciplinary director, designer, and visual artist known for hyperreal aesthetics that merge film, technology, lighting, motion design, and visual effects. He began his career co-founding the acclaimed studio Toby & Pete in 2009, producing award-winning design, animation, and immersive live experiences for artists including Flume, Rufus Du Sol, PNAU, and Chet Faker. After transitioning fully to directing around 2019, Pike has helmed campaigns for Nike, Toyota, Audi, Kia, Hyundai, Sony, Canon, Disney, Google, Coca-Cola, and Qantas. His automotive work is particularly notable: the Toyota Gazoo Racing "Metalmorphosis" spot won at Ciclope Asia 2023, earned seven AWARD accolades, and was shortlisted at Cannes Lions and D&AD. Pike's music video for PNAU's "Go Bang!" earned an ARIA nomination in 2018, and his stop-motion work for Chet Faker's "Talk Is Cheap" was nominated in 2014. His technical prowess spans VFX-intensive projects, documentary work, live concert visuals, and public installations.
