Thomas Ormonde is a UK-born commercial director known for offbeat, character-led comedy and performance-driven brand films. He began as an animator and in-house director at Fallon London, then moved into live-action at MindsEye, where he built a distinct surreal comedy voice. His breakthrough awards run centers on Fold7’s Audible campaign “Laugh Through It” / “The Breakdown,” which won Shots Ad of the Year for Direction (up to 60 seconds) in 2023, British Arrows Gold and Silver, and Kinsale Shark nominations; shots profiled him as “the surreal McCoy.” Recent credits include Pringles’ BBDO New York spots “Pringlelina: A Love Story” and “Duck King” (ProdCo), extending the brand’s “Once You Pop” platform; Nike Football’s Wieden+Kennedy “Scary Good” chapter “Reputational Damage Specialists” starring Cole Palmer; and Samsung’s BBH “The Interns” / “Something Amazing.” Additional evidenced brand work spans Adidas, Amazon, the BBC, Cadbury, Deep River Rock, Lays, Ribena, and BetMGM. He is working with ProdCo in the US, Merchant in Canada, and—as of January 2026—Scoundrel across Australia and New Zealand.
