Bio & background

Will Speck and Josh Gordon are a directing duo who have built a career spanning commercials, features, and television since meeting at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in the early 1990s. Their 1997 short film Culture, starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Live Action Short Film and led to early representation at RSA Films. As founding directors at Furlined, they created the culturally pervasive GEICO Cavemen campaign and directed award-winning work for Donate Life, Meta, Amazon, Apple, and Hellmann's, collecting over twenty Cannes Lions including ten for their "World's Biggest Asshole" spot starring Thomas Jane. Their feature debut Blades of Glory (2007) with Will Ferrell earned over $145 million globally, followed by The Switch and Office Christmas Party with Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman. They co-created and showrun the Hulu/Marvel animated series Hit-Monkey and directed the Sony Pictures musical Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile (2022) starring Javier Bardem, which grossed over $100 million worldwide and led to a first-look deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment announced in March 2023. They are attached to direct The Oregon Trail musical for Apple and The Kaiju Score for Columbia Pictures.
