Seyi Peter-Thomas is a commercial director represented in the U.S. by Station Film. Born to a Nigerian-British mother and raised in London until age 12, he later attended Washington, D.C.'s Duke Ellington School of the Arts and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. He began writing and directing MTV on-air promos, including the Digital Abuse campaign tied to President Obama's Conference on Bullying Prevention, a Creativity Platinum-winning 2009 VMA West Side Story promo, and the Hard Times of RJ Berger spot shown in the Cannes New Directors showcase. Early awards include an Emmy for the Kaiser Foundation Condom Factory PSAs and a Daytime Emmy for Nickelodeon's 2019 Black History Month films. His MasterCard #ArnieWould Arnold Palmer tribute earned CLIO recognition; Youth Ambassadors PSAs took One Show and Cannes Lions honors; and the Motionpoems short How Do You Raise a Black Child? won One Show, Webby, and AICP Next awards and entered MoMA's permanent collection. Brand work includes Farmers Insurance's Sesame Street 50th campaign with J.K. Simmons, The General with Shaquille O'Neal, Rakuten with Stephen Curry, Geico, Truth, Sprint, Farm Bureau, Burger King, TXU Energy, Maxfli, NJM, Orbit Gum, and Visa x Bank of America. He is noted for celebrity performance direction, puppet and practical-effects craft, and kids-cast storytelling, and has participated in the DGA TV Director Development Program.
