Seb Edwards is a London-based commercial director known for cinematic craft and emotionally resonant storytelling. He began his career in front of the camera, starring at age eight in John Boorman's Oscar-nominated Hope and Glory (1987). After studying Fine Arts at the University of Leeds and earning an MFA from NYU, Edwards worked his way up from runner to director at Home (formerly Brave Films). His breakthrough came with work for the UK's Central Office of Information, earning two Gold Lions at Cannes in 2009. Edwards has since directed award-winning campaigns for Apple, Toyota, Ford, John Lewis, Nike, Lacoste, Spotify, Vodafone, and Volkswagen, among others. Major projects include John Lewis's 2018 Christmas campaign The Boy and the Piano starring Elton John; Toyota's Brothers, which aired during Super Bowl LVI 2022 and told the story of Paralympian Brian McKeever; and the 2023 Rumble campaign for Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou, which earned Edwards a DGA Award nomination. Recent work includes Apple's iPhone 17 Pro launch film (2025), Ford's first global campaign in 15 years Ready Set Ford (2025), and Publix's 2025 holiday spot Merry Birthday. His work has collected multiple golds at Cannes Lions, British Arrows, D&AD, BTAA, Ciclope, and Eurobest. Edwards is working with Park Pictures (US/UK) and Academy Films (UK).
