Bio & background

Sean Price Williams is a New York-based director and cinematographer who joined Pulse Films' global roster in June 2025 for commercials and music videos. Over two decades, he built a reputation as one of American independent cinema's most distinctive visual artists, shooting the Safdie Brothers' "Good Time" (which screened in Competition at Cannes 2017) and "Heaven Knows What," Alex Ross Perry's "Queen of Earth," and multiple Nathan Silver features. In 2023, Williams made his feature directorial debut with "The Sweet East," a surreal satirical road movie starring Talia Ryder, Ayo Edebiri, and Jacob Elordi that premiered in Cannes Directors' Fortnight. As a music video director, he has worked with Addison Rae ("Aquamarine," "Diet Pepsi," "Fame is a Gun"), Sabrina Carpenter and Dolly Parton ("Please Please Please"), Clairo ("Terrapin"), Rosé ("Toxic Till the End"), and Tate McRae ("Nobody's Girl"). Previously as DP, he shot videos for A$AP Rocky, NAS, and Clairo, and commercials for Steve Madden. Williams is known for textured handheld camerawork, bold LED-driven color palettes using ARRI Skypanels, and agile small-rig setups—he famously shot "The Great Pretender" on a Sony A7s Mark II with plastic filters taped directly to the lens. A former Kim's Video employee and cinephile with eclectic tastes, he brings an uncompromising indie sensibility and in-camera craft ethic to every project.
