Sean Durkin is a writer-director whose credits include the feature Martha Marcy May Marlene, which he also wrote; it premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, where he won the Best Director Award in the Dramatic competition, then screened at Cannes and received Fox Searchlight distribution. He directed the Channel 4 miniseries Southcliffe (four BAFTA nominations) and the feature The Nest (2020 Sundance premiere, IFC Films, six British Independent Film Award nominations). He directed key episodes of the Amazon/Annapurna limited series Dead Ringers starring Rachel Weisz, including the pilot and co-directing the finale; the series drew Emmy, Golden Globe, and Peabody recognition. Most recently he wrote, directed, and produced The Iron Claw for House Productions and A24. In May 2024 he signed with Moxie Pictures for global commercials and branded content, framing an entry into advertising. A branded music credit, A24 x Tame Impala Sound Check, appears in production listings. No traditional advertiser campaigns are evidenced; he is known primarily for performance-driven narrative features and series as commercial representation begins.
