Sam Taylor-Johnson is a British filmmaker, photographer, and visual artist signed with Superprime Films for US commercial representation since 2019. Her commercial directing work spans luxury fashion and beauty brands including Givenchy, for whom she directed "The New Gentleman" fragrance campaign in 2017, Chanel, H&M, and Armani—most recently directing an Acqua di Giò fragrance commercial in 2023 shot at Croatia's Telašćica Nature Park. Her fine art background includes a Venice Biennale Illy Café Prize and Turner Prize nomination, with photography exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum and published in Interview Magazine. Her feature film career includes "Nowhere Boy" (premiered London Film Festival, screened Sundance), the box-office record-breaking "Fifty Shades of Grey" (over $500 million worldwide), "A Million Little Pieces" (premiered TIFF 2018), and the Amy Winehouse biopic "Back to Black." She has also directed music videos for The Weeknd, Elton John, and REM, and won at Sundance for her short film "Love You More," which received BAFTA and Cannes Palme d'Or nominations. Her multi-disciplinary practice spans sculpture, photography, and film.
