Romain Chassaing is a French commercial and music video director based in Paris, known for fusing high-octane action with darkly comic storytelling and meticulous world-building. He co-founded the creative studio Solab after transitioning from graphic design and album artwork to directing. His commercial roster includes Xbox, Winamax, KFC, Mercedes, Schweppes, CIBC, Samsung, and Riyadh Season. In 2024, he co-directed Xbox's "Wake Up" with David Fincher, earning a Grand Prix at Ciclope, a D&AD Yellow Pencil for VFX, and honors at the One Show, British Arrows, and AICP Show. His style—rooted in comic book pacing and 1980s adventure films—delivers cinematic visuals and environmental detail across campaigns for BoursoBank, Dailymotion, Sega, and TotalEnergies. His music video work includes D&AD-winning interactive film "Words Hurt" for Naïve New Beaters and videos for Dizzee Rascal, Vitalic, and Vald.
