Reinaldo Marcus Green is an American film and commercial director whose feature debut 'Monsters and Men' won the Special Jury Prize at Sundance 2018. He earned six Academy Award nominations including Best Picture for 'King Richard' (2021), with Will Smith winning Best Actor for his portrayal of Venus and Serena Williams' father. Green's short film 'Stop' premiered at Sundance 2015 after being made for $500 over two days, won the NBR Student Grant Award, and played approximately 40 festivals before HBO acquisition. His earlier short 'Stone Cars' premiered in Cannes Cinefondation and won the Grand Jury Prize at Le Temps Presse Festival. Green directed the HBO miniseries 'We Own This City' from David Simon and George Pelecanos, episodes of Netflix's 'Top Boy', and the global box office hit 'Bob Marley: One Love'. In commercials, he has directed campaigns for Genentech via BBH London and Prudential Financial featuring tennis player Ethan Quinn that aired during the 2023 US Open on ESPN and ABC, partnered with McCann New York. A former elementary school teacher with a master's in education who studied under Spike Lee at NYU, Green joined The Sweetshop for UK and USA commercial representation in June 2026.
