RBG6 is a Swedish directing duo composed of Joel Nordström and Lars Ohlin, based in Stockholm. The name derives from Rödabergsgatan 6, the street address where they founded their partnership over 15 years ago after meeting in art school. They began collaborating on still life creations and graphic design, establishing a tactile aesthetic foundation that defines their filmmaking. Their work is characterized by meticulous set design, stylized visuals, and a poetic quirkiness rooted in craftsmanship. Early films functioned as moving still-life installations; over time they expanded into complex storytelling and refined actor direction while maintaining exacting standards for props and constructed environments. RBG6 has directed campaigns for IKEA, Squarespace, Hinge, TurboTax, Finish, Fujifilm Instax, Chobani, Fisher-Price, World Gold Council, Mutti, Hemnet, and many Scandinavian brands including H&M, Volvo, Mercedes, Tele2, and SAS. Their accolades include two Gold Lions at Cannes in the Cyber category for IKEA work, a BTAA honor for Best New Director, and Best Digital Poster at The Creative Circle for Orange. Collaborators include production designer Roger Rosenberg and stop-motion cinematographer Tristan Oliver BSC. They are working with Friend in the UK, Aspekt for the US and Scandinavia, Photoplay for Australia and New Zealand, and Wizz in France.
