Pietro Coppolecchia is an Italian director and cinematographer based in Mexico City. Born in Milan to a family of film-industry veterans, he began on sets as a teenager and studied cinematography at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. Early camera-department work included DPs Yorick Le Saux, Fabio Cianchetti and Guillaume Schiffman and directors Luca Guadagnino and Xavier Koller. After relocating to Mexico City he directed shorts, documentaries, music videos and commercials, often favoring 16mm for on-set discipline and texture. His short For The Love I Show won Best Short at HollyShorts and earned a Special Mention at the Filmmaker Festival Milan. Documented commercial work includes Vibram Five Fingers, Spotify’s Ageless Bond, Napapijri’s Choose The Future and Fiorucci collaboration, Nike Always On, Dove Men’s Care’s Caring Makes Us Sweat, Durex, Etro Roots, Vans, Celosa Rosé, DEL SOL Salon’s Endless Summer, FINSUS Manifiesto and Mesobis, plus bio-credited campaigns for Prada, Armani, Salvatore Ferragamo and Meta. In July 2022 Believe Media signed him for US and UK commercial representation; he is also listed with FUTURA, Puro Mgmt in Italy and 2DM Production. Coverage frames the work as fashion-lifestyle and human-spirited storytelling rich in light, shadow and tactile detail.
