Bio & background

Philippe Tempelman is a Swedish commercial director based in Stockholm whose work spans automotive, fashion, and lifestyle brands including Rimowa, Renault, Toyota, Polestar, Volvo, H&M, Bvlgari, and Coca-Cola. His breakthrough came in 2008 when he won the Young Director Award at Cannes Lions for a PSA film for Stop the Street Violence before graduating from Beckmans College of Design. Since 2017, he has been represented in the U.S. by Epoch Films and maintains rosters with Phantasm, BWGTBLD, and PINE. His notable campaigns include Rimowa x LeBron James "Never Still," Renault "The Feeling" (which won Bronze in Automotive Film at Cannes Lions 2021 and Gold for Best Cinematography at Club des DA), and Toyota "As I Really Am." Tempelman was named Best Swedish Commercial Director of the Year at the 2016 Roy Awards and earned the most Cannes Lions nominations for a Swedish director that year. He has also directed two short films addressing social issues: "Sons of My Country" (2019) for ECPAT and "The Circle" (2024) on mental health awareness. His work combines location-driven narratives with refined fashion aesthetics and poetic cinematography.
