Pedro Takahashi is a London-based director working with FRIEND in the UK and Leethal Reppin for music videos. A graduate of the University of Westminster's Film and Television program, Takahashi worked in-house at Somesuch production company before transitioning to freelance directing while also assisting director Daniel Wolfe. His work is characterized by meticulous technical execution including motion control rigs, precise 360-degree pans, and complex camera choreography. For Sam Akpro's "Death by Entertainment," he employed a motion control rig to execute identical 360-degree pans shot at different times of day, creating seamless transitions between night and morning within continuous shots. His 2020 video for Shame's "Water in the Well" received a Vimeo Staff Pick and marked his breakthrough as a director. Takahashi has built a distinctive portfolio working with alternative and indie rock artists including Shame, Sam Akpro, Chubby & The Gang, Real Lies, Haitch Ber Na, Jeshi, Edward Skeletrix, Humour, and High Vis. He directed a 12-minute documentary on Corsica Studios' 30-year history and has begun commercial work with Mizuno x Slam Jam. Takahashi frequently edits his own work and maintains a medium format photography practice.
