Paul Butterworth is an advertising director specializing in SFX-driven food and tabletop work that blends surrealism, performance, and kinetic transitions. First signed in the U.S. by Los Angeles company JOJX in February 2021 after building a reputation across the UK, Europe, Australia, and Asia, he is also represented in Canada by Alfredo Films from 2022, in the UK by Tantrum from early 2026, and via Cartello and Infinity Squared. Campaigns include Butternut Box premium dog food for TV and social in the UK and Ireland from January 2026, Pure Leaf revitalization work noted for vivid energy and stunning SFX, McDonald’s “Food Trust,” Denny’s diner food, Betty Crocker “Flip The Morning,” and Kashi breakfast spots combining live action and tabletop. Further clients include Lurpak, Richmond Sausages, McCormick’s, Carex, Rewe, Ecco, BMW, Ford, Etihad Airways, Ferrero, KFC, Papa John’s, Taco Bell, Nescafé, Kellogg’s, Jose Cuervo, and Canadian Tire. Before directing full-time he worked as an advertising producer and line producer and in production on Casino Royale and City of Ember.
