Patrick Daughters is an American commercial and music-video director who drew early notice at NYU with the short Unloved, Grand Prize winner of Nintendo’s Eternal Darkness contest in 2002. He entered music videos in 2003 with Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ “Date with the Night” and “Maps,” later directing Feist’s continuous-take “1234” (Grammy-nominated for Best Short Form Music Video), Grizzly Bear’s “Two Weeks,” Depeche Mode’s “Wrong,” and Adele’s “Send My Love (To Your New Lover).” Pitchfork called him one of the decade’s finest directors. Transitioning to commercials, he won the First Boards Award for Best New Director and has received AICP and D&AD recognition. Advertising credits include Squarespace’s “Garage” and “Make It Real,” Dell’s “The Journey,” Apple’s “A Brand New Flavor,” McDonald’s “Sunbathing,” Bai’s “Flavorful Hydration” with John Legend, Chobani’s VFX piece “The Wonderful World of Less,” IKEA’s “The Wonderful Everyday” via Mother London, Uniqlo’s first global TV campaign “Why Do We Get Dressed?” via Droga5 and “The Science of Lifewear,” Honda’s “World of Meh” with RPA, plus Stella Artois, Zillow, Target, Acura, Ford, Sony, Audible, Microsoft, Walmart, Audi, easyJet, Chanel, and O2. He joined Anonymous Content for U.S. representation in 2016 and the UK in 2022. Recurring collaborators include cinematographer Shawn Kim and editor Anthony Cerniello.
