Patrice Lighter is a Brooklyn-based commercial director who joined Station Film in August 2025 for U.S. commercials and branded entertainment—her first U.S. production-company representation—after years independent through her full-service studio Big in Japan. Her first Station campaign was NYX Professional Makeup for GUT LA, including the comedic “Brow Compliance” social films starring Corporate Natalie that parody workplace HR training, plus “Make Them Look” pieces with the Thompson Sisters and athlete Juju Watkins. Trade coverage cites campaigns for TikTok, Stripe (including Stripe x URBN and “Make Progress” cutdowns), and Nike Taiwan and Nike NYC. Her portfolio also spans Garnier, Maybelline, Uber, First Response (“Sensitive to You”), Happy Baby, Earth & Star, Brightline, EBRP, Pencils of Promise, Usher’s New Look, Maekan, DWS Printing, and craft beverage brands Two Roads Brewing, Matchabar, and Allagash. She directs real people and live interviews, turning complex or sensitive subject matter into digestible films oriented toward emotional resonance and empowerment of women and the LGBTQA+ community. She began as a pop artist and songwriter while earning an MBA at Stony Brook, then moved into music videos with creative partner Joe Accardi before commercials. Big in Japan remains active in production and post. A November 2025 Shots feature covered her Brooklyn studio practice. No major international advertising-award wins are documented.
