Oscar Hudson is a London-based director working with MJZ worldwide and Magna Studios in the UK for commercials, with Entertainment 360 handling narrative projects. He began his career as a teenager making skate videos in London before establishing himself as a distinctive voice in commercial filmmaking. Hudson's Coinbase "Your Way Out" spot—which premiered during the 2026 Academy Awards—won the Cannes Lions Grand Prix in Film Craft along with four Gold Lions, employing elaborate practical effects including 2D-printed costumes, pixelated sets, and choreographed NPC movement to create a retro video game world entirely in-camera. His Nike "You Can't Stop Sport" film won both the Cannes Grand Prix and a Primetime Emmy in 2020/21, while Apple's "Bounce" was reportedly the most awarded commercial globally in 2020. B&Q's "Flip" campaign took #1 Ad of the Year in the 2022/23 Televisual Poll and won three Gold British Arrows. Hudson's music video work has earned him UKMVA Best Director (2017) and multiple production design awards for collaborations with Bonobo, Radiohead, Loyle Carner, and Young Fathers. His debut feature "Straight Circle" premiered at Venice Critics Week in 2025, winning the Grand Jury Prize and Most Innovative Film, followed by Best Director and Best Actor at Marrakesh IFF and the Grand Prize at Taipei Film Festival. Hudson's work is characterized by craft-forward practical filmmaking, conceptual rigor, and production design excellence.
