Omri Cohen is a commercial director whose break came in 2007 when he won YouTube’s first music-video contest; the next year he directed early Nike and Microsoft campaigns and entered SHOOT’s New Directors showcase. An Olympics Nike spot opened a long brand relationship that includes Nike Japan’s “Minohodoshirazu,” Taiwan’s first Nike anthem, Hank Aaron–focused “New Swings,” and an NBA jersey launch with Kevin Durant and Paul George. Parallel sports work covers Gatorade, PUMA’s single-take Usain Bolt film, NBA, NFL, XBOX Real Madrid, DICK’s Sporting Goods, ESPN’s 2025 “Sports Heaven” (Sports Emmy–nominated), and Google x NBA’s Jalen Green buzzer-beater for division7. His Nescafé Canada collaboration with Courage and Spy Films spans “How The World Says Coffee,” “Jars,” and 2024’s “80 Degrees,” a sustainability kitchen-ritual film shot on Kodak 35mm that earned D&AD cinematography recognition. Other evidenced brands include Estrella Galicia, Volkswagen “Electric For All,” Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Amazon, Verizon, Comcast, Coors, CIBC, McDonald’s, Norwegian Cruise Line, Uber, Facebook, and Reebok. Cohen blends trained actors with street cast, athletes, and real people, favors 35mm capture and hands-on lighting and camera movement, and is rostered with division7 (US), Spy Films (Canada), and Smuggler (Europe).
