Bio & background

Moorhead & Benson (Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson) are an American co-directing duo signed to Skunk for U.S. commercial and branded-content representation in October 2024, after prior advertising representation at afterhrs. Best known for independent science-fiction and horror features, they frequently write, direct, shoot, edit, act, produce and handle visual effects themselves. Feature credits include Tribeca title Resolution (2012), Spring (2014), time-loop film The Endless (2017/2018), Synchronic (2019) starring Anthony Mackie, and Sundance 2022 premiere Something in the Dirt. Television directing includes Netflix’s Archive 81, Paramount’s The Twilight Zone, and Marvel Studios series Moon Knight, Loki Season 2 and Daredevil: Born Again. Their first Skunk project, Quit Earth for the Borderlands 4 launch, combined practical effects, stop-motion animation and miniatures; they have also directed NBA’s Rise to the Cup. Festival recognition centers on the features, including Best of Bucheon and the Neuchâtel International Critics’ Prize for The Endless and a Film Independent Spirit John Cassavetes Award nomination for Something in the Dirt. Early NBA and Borderlands work has drawn New Director of the Year attention.
