Milana Vayntrub is a director, writer, actress, and activist who brings sharp comedic timing and genuine heart to commercial and narrative work. Born in Uzbekistan and raised in West Hollywood after immigrating as a refugee at age two, she began acting in Mattel Barbie commercials at five. A UC San Diego communication graduate and Upright Citizens Brigade alum, Vayntrub co-created the YouTube comedy channel Live Prude Girls, which garnered over 15 million views and ranked #93 on NewMediaRockstars' Top 100 Channels. She is widely recognized as AT&T's Lily Adams, appearing in over 160 commercials before transitioning to direct the campaigns herself. Her commercial directing portfolio includes Voya Financial, CeraVe, Cracker Barrel Cheese, Make-a-Wish Foundation, and Georgia Lottery. Named to Adweek's Creative 100 in 2016, she directed the award-winning documentary Can't Do Nothing (2016) about Syrian refugees, raising hundreds of thousands for refugee aid. Her narrative shorts Pickled Herring (2023) and Booties (2025) won audience and festival awards at Indy Shorts, Cinequest, and HollyShorts. She is working with Hungry Man.
