Miko Lim is an LA-based commercial director and photographer whose work centers athlete and outdoor storytelling in extraordinary environments. Born in Tawau, Malaysia in 1980 and raised in Seattle, he studied at Pomona College and built a practice across New York, Paris, Tokyo, and Los Angeles. An avid climber, free diver, and surfer, he brings insider access to sports culture. Represented in the US by Farm League since 2020 (prior RSA Films Amsterdam, 2021), Lim’s credits include Adidas’s Cannes-shortlisted “What’s One More,” among the most-watched Adidas films online; Nike and Jordan Brand campaigns featuring Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis; Reebok, Oakley, Puma, Rivian “Fly Fishing,” Sun Bum “Good Days Daily,” OluKai, Verizon with Tony Finau, Colorado Tourism, New York Knicks 75th anniversary, Citi, Champion, Red Bull, and Mountain Dew. UK HealthCare’s “I Shouldn’t Be Here” aired as a Super Bowl spot. His OluKai short “Ocean Mother” won a Clio for Best Director plus shots Awards and Telly recognition. The IMAX feature Stormbound, executive produced with Adam McKay, won the SXSW 2026 Special Jury Prize for Best Documentary. He is a Paramount Global Director Fellow, sole shadow director on Apple TV’s Murderbot, and co-chairs the DGA’s first feature-film mentorship program. Commercial films are credited with over a billion YouTube views.
