Michael Schrom is a New York-based director and cinematographer who has directed and photographed more than 1,800 broadcast spots, specializing in tabletop and food advertising. An NYU Tisch BFA graduate, he owns Schrom & Co. and is rostered at Yacht Club Films as tabletop director (listed SCHROM/Yacht Club for AICP Week 2025). His Crave Artistry™ centers on poured fluids, gooey textures, glistening sauces, and dripping flavors for QSR and CPG brands. Recent credits include Dunkin’ “The Biggest Deal”/“Big Deal” (2024–2025, co-directed with Jake Ladehoff; motion-control; described as a Super Bowl spot), Papa John’s tabletop on 2023 Shaq-family packages and director credit on “Love Shaq Season” heart-shaped pizza, plus 2025 work for Red Lobster, Eggland’s Best, and Cracker Barrel (Dentsu). Clients also include McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, Carl’s Jr., Shake Shack, Checkers, Snickers, Johnsonville, Kraft, Coca-Cola, Heineken, and Johnson & Johnson. He directed and shot the 2013 AICP Next Awards campaign “Innovation Has No Formula”; a project is held in MoMA’s permanent collection. Craft notes cite close-focus tabletop, handheld and Trinity operating, motion-control, practical-plus-VFX integration, and a 2022 XR New York stage with Silver Spoon.
