Michael Francis Williams is a British filmmaker working with Partizan across US, UK, and French offices and by Curtis Brown in the UK. He made his television directing debut with the 90-minute pilot of David Makes Man, created by Academy Award winner Tarell Alvin McCraney and executive produced by Oprah Winfrey and Michael B. Jordan. The pilot, titled "David's Sky," premiered at SXSW 2019 to rave reviews and was named one of the best TV episodes of the year by both The Hollywood Reporter and The New York Times. The series won a Peabody Award. Williams later directed Episode 107 of Apple TV+'s The Changeling, which The Hollywood Reporter called "unquestionably one of the most audacious hours of TV you'll see this year." His commercial work includes campaigns for Nike, Amazon, Adidas, Haig Club, and Michael Kors in partnership with Chelsea Football Club. Williams has written and directed several short films including Mila for NOWNESS' Black Star series and Stay Woke for AFROPUNK. He is currently developing multiple features including Heavy with Issa Rae's Hoorae Media and Blue Light, a Walter Mosley adaptation with B.O.B. Industries.
