Megan Park is a Canadian writer-director repped for branded content and music video by Prettybird in the US and UK. She won the Austin Film Festival Grand Jury Prize for Best Narrative Short with Lucy In My Eyes before writing and directing The Fallout, which took the 2021 SXSW Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award for Narrative Feature and a Brightcove Illumination Award. The Jenna Ortega-led drama about a school shooting’s aftermath became a Max release and placed her on Variety’s 10 Directors to Watch for 2022. Sophomore feature My Old Ass—a Sundance premiere produced with LuckyChap and Indian Paintbrush, starring Maisy Stella and Aubrey Plaza—was acquired by Amazon MGM in a competitive deal and released theatrically before streaming. Documented commercial work centers on nonprofit IGNITE’s #WriteTheRules campaign (Prettybird-listed PSA; shorts Listen To Me and Medically Speaking, each a Cannes Lions Bronze in Not-for-profit/Charity) plus the short Goodnight for Janelle Monáe’s Beautiful Future campaign. Drawing on her acting background, Park’s direction is actor-forward: relaxed sets, chemistry-led casting, and dialogue- and performance-centered coming-of-age storytelling transferable to heartfelt and comedy brand work.
