Matvey Fiks is a New York-based commercial director working with RadicalMedia, known for technically ambitious execution across automotive, fashion, and lifestyle campaigns. A 2016 graduate of the School of Visual Arts, Fiks has directed for Gucci, Range Rover, Genesis, Under Armour, Instagram, Zara, Versace, Adidas, Louis Vuitton, and Stuart Weitzman. His work fuses documentary authenticity with precision craft—from motion-control sequences and Russian arm car shoots to Phantom high-speed imagery and split-screen live transitions. His Stuart Weitzman campaign was shot on 35mm, blending black-and-white studio work with archival footage, while his Adidas Originals "Rivalry" spot showcased continuous-shot split-screen progression. His Scalapay project involved extensive motion-control, CG supervision, and multi-plate setups. Fiks won Silver at the 2021 Young Director Awards for his music video "Sky Breaking Clouds Falling" and received the 2018 Webby People's Voice Award for his documentary "Odds and Ends" about photographer Daniel Arnold, which was featured by Vogue. His thesis film "Douggy," supported by Kodak's 2015 Scholarship Award, premiered at Locarno and screened at the New York Film Festival. He maintains hands-on fluency in film stocks, camera systems, and emerging tools including Blender and Unreal Engine for previsualization.
