Matt Spicer is a Los Angeles-based director and writer represented in the US by Division7, which he joined in October 2019. A USC School of Cinematic Arts graduate, he broke out with the dark social-media satire Ingrid Goes West (2017), which premiered in competition at Sundance (Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award, shared with David Branson Smith) and won the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature. Division7 credits him with branded work for Apple (including “The Heist”), Pepsi, Spotify, Citi, Butterfinger (“When Kelly Came To Town” / Investigators), Hermès, American Red Cross (“A Bloody Nightmare”), Choice Hotels, Walmart, and Peacock, plus 2025 production-side associations on Plymouth Rock Assurance and Texas Pete. Roster materials frame his advertising craft around sharp comedic instincts and cinematic narrative style, with recognition from The One Show, Clios, AICP, SHOTS, and The Webby Awards. Parallel narrative directing includes American Horror Stories (2024), the Netflix comedy Little Brother (John Cena, Eric André, Michelle Monaghan), and earlier TV such as Dollface, Angelyne, and On Becoming a God in Central Florida. Dunkin’ “Buddy Cops,” Bud Light Super Bowl Spuds MacKenzie, and Call of Duty “Replacer” are agency creative/writer credits, not commercial directing.
