Malcolm Venville is a British photographer and commercial director who began in advertising photography after Association of Photographers awards. Early print work included Wrangler's "Be more than just a number" for Simons Palmer Denton plus Nike, Levi's, Sony, Lynx, BT, Virgin Atlantic, British Heart Foundation, British Gas, Silk Cut and Jack Daniel's through Wieden+Kennedy, Bartle Bogle Hegarty and BBDO. He moved into commercials with Volkswagen's "Squares" for Arnolds, cited as the world's most awarded TV commercial of 2003 (Cannes Golden Lion, Clio, ANDY Grandy, AICP Overall Excellence, Emmy nomination). Further credits include MasterCard "Sailboat," John Lewis "From Me to You," Nike and a Millennium Dome film. Documentary shorts include award-winning Silent Film about his deaf parents and Zillions with Karl Lagerfeld (best documentary, International Fashion Film Festival). Features 44 Inch Chest (2009) won the Jury Prize at Seville and a San Diego Film Critics ensemble award; Henry's Crime followed in 2010. He has directed historical docudrama miniseries for A&E/History/RadicalMedia and Netflix (Grant, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, FDR, Churchill at War) and Formula E documentary And We Go Green.
