Maceo Frost is a Stockholm-based director working with Knucklehead (US/UK), BWGTBLD (Germany), New-Land (Scandinavia), and Diplomats (France). Son of streetdance legend Damon Frost, he discovered filmmaking at 11 and has built a practice spanning documentary, music video, and commercials characterized by immersive, kinetic visuals. His documentary "Raised By Krump" (21 min) premiered at SXSW and IDFA; "Too Beautiful - Our Right to Fight," an Adidas-funded feature on Cuban women's boxing, premiered on HBO Max. His 2018 IKEA spot "What If" (shot 35mm anamorphic) won SHOTS Online Commercial of the Year. His 2022 Hennessy "Game Never Stops" campaign for Droga5 featured AJ Tracey, Masiwei, and Stephane Ashpool celebrating basketball's global cultural influence. His 2025 Stockholm Stadsmission spot won Best Commercial at ROYGALAN. Frost's music video work centers on BIJI, his collaboration with Robin Nazari fusing Kurdish culture with contemporary music; "Zigidi" won a D&AD Graphite Pencil for Editing in 2025. His Burna Boy documentary won a Gold Clio in 2019. Frost also produces music under his own name, plays drums, and believes rhythm is the secret to everything—a philosophy evident in his pacing and editing.
