Lydia Garnett is a London-based filmmaker and photographer whose work centers queer storytelling with intimate, documentary-inflected style. Beginning as a photographer at 16, Garnett documented underground communities and transitioned to film with the same editorial eye for authentic portraiture. Their 2025 visual album *Last Exit on Bethnal* for Hannah Holland premiered at the ICA London and won Best Special Visual Project. Garnett's music video *Lonely Cowgirl* for their band Trouble Wanted won the Iris Prize LGBTQ+ Community Award and earned nominations at Raindance and UKMVA. In branded content, Garnett directed Nike's documentary *One Of Us* exploring queer inclusion in grassroots football, global adidas campaigns profiling the Hackney Rebels basketball community, and editorial work for Dior. Their photography series *Close Shave* paid homage to Catherine Opie and PhyllisChristopher's legacy documenting Dyke, Butch, and transmasc haircuts. Garnett co-directed Kae Tempest's *Statue In The Square* with Boy Dykes collective and serves as Joint Stage 1 Leader for BA Fashion Communication at Central Saint Martins. Somesuch represents them globally since April 2025.
