Daniel Liakh, directing under LIAKH, is a Ukrainian-born comedy writer and director based between the UK and international markets. Beginning his career as a creative at BBH, VMLY&R, R/GA, and Crispin Porter + Bogusky, he now specializes in conceptual wit and darkly absurd storytelling. His breakout film "Dear Art" for the Sainsbury Centre earned Gold at the 2024 Cannes Young Director Award, blending mixed-media art direction with gentle satire of museum culture. For STAMMA, he collaborated with portrait photographer David Vintiner to artistically capture people mid-stammer, stripping shame from the condition. His Virgin Active "Fake Wellness" campaign via We Are Pi Amsterdam delivered a hypnotic counter-punch to wellness industry fakery. LIAKH's work has been recognized by D&AD (Graphite Pencil, Wood Pencils), British Arrows (Silver), Clios (two Bronze), Eurobest (two Bronze), One Show (two Merits), and Creative Circle (Gold for Art Direction). He emphasizes that "advertising and film is a writer's medium" and distills every idea to a single sentence before production. He joined Furlined in the US in October 2025 and is working with Chaser in Ireland.
