Leve Kühl is a Berlin-based director working with Riff Raff Films (UK/US, Nursery of Evil roster), UPPERFAST, and Anorak. Born in 1997 and trained at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, Kühl brings an editor's precision to performance-driven social-impact storytelling. His breakthrough PSA *Highlife* for Saferhighs.org won seven Clio Awards including Gold for Directing, plus honors at ADC, 1.4 Awards, and CICLOPE. His UNHCR film *Through My Eyes* (2024)—shot predominantly from the protagonist's POV and told in Mandarin Chinese—earned three Gold and one Silver at the 2025 Young Director Award in Cannes and contributed to his Best New Director win at the 2025 AICP Awards in New York. The film followed a refugee fleeing her homeland, rooted in extensive research and interviews to ensure authenticity. Kühl's commercial work includes *Peas* for Grindr (Vimeo Staff Pick, Gold and Silver ADC, Silver 1.4 Awards) and *Tubbeln Hauptfilm* for FBA. Fluent in Mandarin, he explores identity, displacement, and marginalized communities through rigorous craft, tight sound design, and cinematic restraint. His work has been profiled in SHOTS, Directors Notes, AdAge, Heckler, and Lürzer's Archive, and screened at MoMA and Cannes.
