La Sister is a Mexican-Spanish film director and writer born in Baja California, Mexico, shaped by border culture between Mexico and the United States. After earning a BSC in Communication Sciences in Mexico City, she graduated from film school in Barcelona and studied under Emir Kusturica, William Klein, and Michelangelo Pistoletto at the Stage Europeo Degli Esordi in Italy. Her commercial work spans clients including Centenario Tequila, Saudi Arabia Tourism Board, Scalpers, Allianz, and Xbox. She was awarded Best Emerging Talent at the London Fashion Film Festival for her fashion film COSMOS and received Best Mexican Short Film at the International Author Film Festival for Fragments of Time. Her work has been recognized at Berlin Commercial, La Jolla Fashion Film Festival, Australian Fashion Film Festival, Milano Fashion Film Festival, and Kyiv IFF Molodist, among others. Known for blending reality and fantasy through distinctive visual storytelling, she brings authentic cultural perspective to projects rooted in Mexican heritage while taking bold creative risks at both visual and narrative levels. Now based in Barcelona, she moves fluidly between cinema and advertising while developing her first feature film.
