Born in Kinugasa, Japan, and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, he began as a child actor (including Kevin Smith’s Dogma), moved into cinematography on independent features and hip-hop videos, then wrote and directed the 2010 feature Aardvark. He is a principal director, writer, and executive producer of Adult Swim’s The Eric Andre Show, work that brought Primetime Emmy nominations and anchors his absurdist, performance-driven comedy profile. Rostered at Prettybird (US/UK), evidenced advertiser projects include Busch Light “Shelter,” GoPuff’s Lil Dicky “Quartertime Show” and related Cardi B/Dave programming, McDonald’s “Can I Get Uhhhhhhhhhhhh” (IMDb-listed 2022 Super Bowl execution with Kanye West), SAXX “Man or Gentleman,” and a DoorDash collaboration. Long-form credits include co-writing/directing Netflix’s Bad Trip, episodes of Twisted Metal, Dave, and The Premise, executive producing Beef, and directing the pilot and multiple episodes of Amazon’s Butterfly. In February 2025, Deadline and THR reported he would direct Legendary’s live-action Street Fighter. Talent representation: UTA and 3 Arts.
