Judith Veenendaal is an Amsterdam-based commercial director whose spots center on light, composition, montage rhythm, and quiet personal narrative. Trained at The Hague’s Royal Academy of Art after moving from graphic design into film, photography, and performance, she has directed work for Amazon Music HD (“Life in HD”), Lincoln (“Letting Go”), Hyundai, UNICEF (“Children Uprooted”), Eli Lilly, Dutch retailer De Bijenkorf, dm (“Uniquely Together,” shot in Bulgaria with Stink), and the Ministry of Defence (“Leadership”). Trade press has described her style as simple and light and in awe of the mundane. Early recognition included a Cannes Young Director Award, Creative Circle’s Best Up and Coming Female Commercial Director honor (2019, then with Stink), multiple Vimeo Staff Picks, and festival attention for the Yseult music video “Noir.” In 2025 she conceived and directed the breast-cancer awareness films Feel and Talk for her nonprofit checkyourbreasts.today with Bonkers United, division7, and SMUGGLER—Feel a dialogue-free piano-led montage of hand rituals cast with friends and family; Talk a single uninterrupted take. A one-minute cut aired during the 2025 Grammy Awards; the long-form project won Gold at the 1.4 Awards (2026) and was shortlisted at Cannes. She is represented in the US by division7, UK by SMUGGLER, France by HENRY, and the Netherlands by Bonkers United.
