Jonas Lindstroem is a Berlin-based director and photographer whose work bridges fashion, film, and conceptual art. After studying Visual Communication at the University of the Arts Berlin—with a formative year at the London College of Communication—Lindstroem built his practice on a foundation of skateboarding's DIY ethos and image-first storytelling. His 2017 music video for Kendrick Lamar's "ELEMENT" earned Vimeo Staff Pick honors and coverage in The New Yorker, establishing him as a visual voice unafraid to push into narrative and experimental territory. That same year, his 15-minute film installation "Truth or Dare – 21 Performances" premiered at Johann König gallery in Berlin and traveled to Art Basel Miami, C/O Berlin, and ECAL Lausanne, launching online via Nowness. His commercial work includes the 2019 global Calvin Klein campaign "I Speak My Truth In #MYCALVINS," a 21-film series starring Shawn Mendes, Billie Eilish, A$AP Rocky, Indya Moore, Bella Hadid, and Kendall Jenner. For Nike, he directed hero spots for the 2024 Olympics featuring LeBron James, Sha'Carri Richardson, and Giannis Antetokounmpo. His luxury portfolio includes fragrance and fashion campaigns for Hermès and Louis Vuitton, the Roger Federer and Adwoa Aboah films for Rimowa, and the Renault 5 Roland Garros launch. His 2020 Sephora film "The Unlimited Power of Beauty," a three-minute meditation on identity and time, earned a Vimeo Staff Pick. Lindstroem published his first monograph, "BELIEVE," in February 2024 in an edition of 500 that sold out, with an accompanying exhibition at Yvon Lambert Paris. He is working with Iconoclast for film across the US, France, Germany, the UK, and Scandinavia, and by WE FOLK for photography.
