Jeppe Rønde is a Danish filmmaker who directs award-winning documentaries, fiction features, and commercials. He won Best Commercial Director in Denmark (2010) and earned Gold and Bronze Cannes Lions plus a Eurobest Grand Prix in Film Craft (2013). His documentary 'The Swenkas' (2005) won a Robert Award for Best Documentary Feature, the Special Jury Prize at Hot Docs, and a European Film Award nomination. His fiction debut 'Bridgend' (2015) swept Tribeca Film Festival with three awards: Best Actress, Best Cinematography, and Best Narrative Editing. The film premiered in competition at Rotterdam and Göteborg after six years of research embedding in the Welsh community. Rønde's commercial work includes viral campaigns for Momondo ('DNA Journey'), SAS ('The Arrivals'), Velux, KLP, Coca-Cola, Volkswagen, Danske Bank, The Danish Railways, and Tuborg. He holds a BA in Film Studies and Art History from the University of Copenhagen (2002) and worked as a professional musician before filmmaking. His newest fiction feature 'Acts of Love' releases in 2025. He often serves as his own cinematographer on documentaries and is known for blending documentary observation with narrative storytelling.
