Jared Clayton is a self-taught filmmaker from Ohio whose emotive, sound-driven storytelling has earned major recognition at Ciclope, D&AD, AICP, Clio, One Show, and YDA. His UNICEF film 'Violence' received a Ciclope Best Direction nomination and D&AD shortlist for its haunting use of discordant sound and imagery capturing childhood trauma from a child's perspective. Clayton's commercial work spans automotive clients including Toyota ('Greater Now'), Hyundai ('Driven by Craft'), Lincoln Motors, Skoda ('What Drives You'), and International Trucks ('Shadow Work'); lifestyle brands Adidas ('Originals x Pharrell'), Rimowa ('Nobu's Tale'), and Maison Francis Kurkdjian; CPG campaigns for Coca-Cola ('Shadows'), Burger King ('Feel Your Way'), Corona, Starbucks, and Kerrygold; plus tech/digital work for Google and Tinder ('Haru's Dream'). His Tribeca Film Festival campaign 'See Yourself in Others' was featured in The New York Times and named Creativity's Pick of the Day. After working as 1st AC to cinematographer Khalid Mohtaseb and rising through New York production ranks, Clayton now creates handmade, performance-focused films grounded in human truth. He is working with Academy Films (UK/US) and FINCH (AU/NZ).
