J.B. Braud is an LA-based French filmmaker, writer, and producer. He began at Canal+ as a creative producer, directed the documentary series Paris, Tokyo for Tsutaya TV / Pen Media in Japan, then broke through with the 2019 Tokyo-shot short In the Still Night (starring Eric Wareheim, Canal+). Apple commissioned successive Shot on iPhone films—Le Peintre (iPhone 12 Pro; Iconoclast / TBWA) and Whodunnit (YDA Silver Screen). He directed a chapter of Coca-Cola’s Tiny Christmas / Christmas Always Finds Its Way anthology for Amazon Prime (Prettybird multi-director project with Grey; Cannes Lions Silver Entertainment Brand Partnerships; One Show Bronze Pencil), plus Amazon Save the Everyday, GANZO’s Life Is Timeless / Love Bond series, Métier The Restaurant, and Paula Canovas del Vas’s It Was Just a Background Noise. Craft: precise color and lighting, light surreal comedy, cinematic branded narrative. Live representation: PRETTYBIRD (US/UK, signed ~2021) and AOI Pro. (Japan, 2024).
