Ivan Grbovic is a Montreal-born director and AFI Masters cinematography graduate whose commercials pair big-scale imagery with witty humour and confident VFX. He broke out directing Rona’s 2010 Olympic films, then built a reel spanning Bank of America, Harley-Davidson, Burger King, Lexus, Ubisoft’s Far Cry Primal, Toyota (AICP Gold), Orange with Zinedine Zidane, Air Transat, Wynn Resorts, Canada Post, Coca-Cola and Xfinity Mobile. Recent work includes Xfinity Mobile’s Greek Gods group-chat film (2026), First Horizon Bank’s Wonka-inspired “Smartphone” micro-factory spot blending live-action and seamless VFX (2025), and a 2023 Quebec Labour Commission workplace mental-health film that casts harassers as science-fiction creatures via Rémy FX and Mathematic VFX. working with The Corner Shop (US/UK), Markenfilm Group (Germany, Switzerland, South Korea) and Les Enfants in Montreal, he also writes and directs features: Romeo Eleven earned Jutra nominations for Best Director and Best Screenplay; Drunken Birds premiered in TIFF Platform and was Canada’s Oscar submission.
