Bio & background

Ian Schwartz is a Los Angeles-based commercial and music-video director who started at Prettybird as a staff writer before directing as half of Ian and Cooper. Their videos for Joel Compass (“Back to Me”), The Dead Weather, Fryars, and Mr. Little Jeans earned MVPA, UKMVA, Ciclope, London International Awards, and SXSW honors, a GRAMMY nomination for The Dead Weather’s “I Feel Love (Every Million Miles),” and a SHOTS Best New Director nomination. Solo, he collaborated with fourclops and Wieden+Kennedy on Portugal. The Man’s interactive “Feel It Still,” taking a Bronze Entertainment for Music Lion at Cannes Lions 2017 plus Graphite and Wood Pencil at D&AD Impact. Brand work includes Philadelphia Cream Cheese’s “You Don’t Just Taste It.
