Grant Spanier is a Los Angeles–based director, photographer, and creative director whose commercial work centers on fashion-lifestyle branding, sportswear, and culture-forward campaigns. He started in Minneapolis in writing and design before moving into film and photography, relocating to LA in late 2016. In October 2024 he signed to Los Films (Los York) after prior U.S. representation at Florence; he has also appeared on the CMNPPL roster. Evidenced brand work includes adidas Originals films such as “Worn Without” and “Made With Care”; Reebok Asia-Pacific/global campaigns shot across China, Japan, and South Korea; Puma with LaMelo Ball; Nike, Foot Locker, HOKA, and Dick’s Sporting Goods (“Your Year Starts Here” stills and Super 8 with Anomaly); plus Louis Vuitton, H&M, Pleasing, Happy Socks with David Hasselhoff, Apple, Samsung, Netflix, Disney, McDonald’s (Wieden+Kennedy), Hennessy, and Live Nation’s Willie Nelson “On the Road Again.” Agencies cited on his materials include Wieden+Kennedy, Johannes Leonardo, Anomaly, and Chandelier. His directing rests on a photographic base—moody filmic tones, frequent true-film capture, and conceptual world-building with dark or tongue-in-cheek humor. In 2018 Kodak and the International Center of Photography named him one of nine Emerging Analog film photographers worldwide; he released the photo book After We Die, What Then? in 2021.
