Giordano Maestrelli is a Brazilian director based in Curitiba, represented globally by Stink Films and Go East. A former still photographer and editor, Maestrelli built his reputation through music videos before transitioning to commercials in 2024 with breakthrough work for Reporters Without Borders Germany. His three-film series "The First Speech," created with Innocean Berlin, juxtaposed the inaugural speeches of Putin, Erdoğan, and Maduro against subsequent press oppression in their regimes. The campaign earned the Grand Prix for Good at Cannes Lions—Innocean's first Grand Prix in 19 years—along with three Golds at Cannes, and recognition at LIA, Eurobest, Ciclope, The One Show, and the Webby Awards. His 2024 success brought Young Guns 22, YDA Silver, Ciclope Gold for New Talent, and Kinsale's Best New Director. His commercial work spans Nike's "Corinthians," Adidas "You Got This" for World Athletics, and a 2026 FIGS campaign featuring Lindsey Vonn that aired globally during the Winter Olympics. He directed INEOS Grenadier's origin story and Raylo's "The Breakup" on 16mm. His music videos for Unknown Mortal Orchestra, SOHN, Maribou State, and Marrakesh earned Vimeo Staff Picks and cinematography awards. Maestrelli's work is characterized by minimalist aesthetics, slow pacing, natural light, and emotional resonance drawn from ordinary moments.
