Garra is a Barcelona-based director duo composed of Iris Valles and Alex Olten, recognized for visually striking work across fashion, automotive, music videos, and social-cause filmmaking. Both born in Barcelona, Iris developed a raw, emotionally charged visual language rooted in social awareness during her time in Paris, while Alex honed her craft in London's fashion and music scenes before transitioning into film direction. Their portfolio spans campaigns for Nike, Netflix, Mango, Guerlain, Coca-Cola, Magnum, Fiat, TikTok, and MG, alongside music videos for Nathy Peluso, Aitana, and Manuel Turizo. Noteworthy work includes "Hurricane" for Mexican NGO Reinserta—a poignant short film created with Grey Mexico and shot by Oscar-nominated cinematographer Pedro Luque—and TikTok Philippines' Christmas campaign "Lolo Daddy" via Ace Saatchi & Saatchi. The duo adopted the gender-neutral moniker "Garra" (Spanish for "claw") to symbolize strength, precision, and their intent to leave a mark. They describe their creative philosophy as "creating from the gut," blending bold storytelling with boundary-pushing aesthetics. Garra is working with Armoury (UK), Oriental Films (LATAM/US), and Glassy Films (Spain).
