Ebeneza Blanche is a multidisciplinary filmmaker celebrated for cinematic elegance and layered visual storytelling shaped by his upbringing across Ghana, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. His breakout music video for Little Simz's "Point & Kill" featuring Obongjayar—a vibrant homage to the 1973 Senegalese film Touki Bouki addressing police brutality in Nigeria—won Best Music Video at the UK Music Video Awards and became the first music video selected for the Tribeca Film Festival in 2022. The work earned him Best New Director honors at YDA, AICP, UK Music Video Awards, Kinsale Sharks, and Creative Circle in 2022. Blanche's commercial portfolio includes Gucci's CICLOPE-winning "A Hero's Journey" featuring NFL cornerback Jalen Ramsey, Chanel x Vogue's "N°5 Drops," Nike's "A Beautiful Run" with marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge for Wieden + Kennedy London, and campaigns for Adidas, Rimowa with Lewis Hamilton scored by Hans Zimmer, and Vogue x eBay. His 15-minute short film "Mathlete" for The New Originals explores his boarding school experience in Ghana. As creative director for Ezra Collective's "Here Because of Hope" album campaign, he conceived an overarching visual identity spanning short film, photography, moving portraits, and three music videos. Influenced by Stanley Kubrick's use of semiotics, Senegalese director Ousmane Sembène, and Wes Anderson, Blanche employs meticulous attention to detail, perfect symmetry, deliberate zoom techniques, and long suspense shots to craft worlds rooted in cultural authenticity and Black storytelling. working with SMUGGLER globally.
