Duane Crichton is a Canadian director working with Yard Dog in the US and Revolver in Canada, known for sincere, cinematic storytelling across commercials, documentaries, and narrative formats. Over two decades, he has directed more than 100 commercials for brands including Home Depot, CIBC, Rogers, Procter & Gamble, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Beats by Dre, and Fidelity Investments. His CIBC "Shattered Barriers" campaign featured Canadian Paralympic athletes with escalating visual storytelling, while his Ontario Medical Association work linked hospital vignettes through seamless camera motion. Crichton won a Shots Young Director Award at Cannes for an Adidas spec spot and earned two Much Music Video awards in 2004 for hip hop and rap videos. His hour-long documentary "Black Life: Untold Stories – Justice Denied" premiered at TIFF 2023 before airing on CBC. Recent work includes short films "Home" (2024) and "Swimmer" (2022, featured in Shots Best of Showcase), plus directing episodes of CBC's "Murdoch Mysteries" and the drama series "Dark Side of the Cage." He directed the narrative feature "Saving God" (2008) starring Ving Rhames.
