Dominic Murphy is a British director working with Partizan in the US, UK, and France, with a thirty-year career spanning commercials, features, and documentary. Murphy directed hundreds of commercials for major brands including Volkswagen, Heinz, Sony, Virgin, Adidas, Kenco, Toyota, and the BBC, winning two Cannes Gold Lions, the Andy's Grand Prix, and multiple D&AD Pencils. Campaign magazine named him among the "10 Hottest Directors in the World." His 2009 feature debut "White Lightnin'," written by VICE founder Shane Smith, premiered at Sundance and won Best Film at Mumbai International Film Festival and Dinard, appearing in Mark Kermode's Top Ten Films of the Year with an 86% Rotten Tomatoes score. Murphy began in television directing on Janet Street-Porter's BAFTA-winning Network 7 before moving into Channel 4 and BBC documentary work. He trained extensively with method acting coach Jack Waltzer and has worked with Brad Pitt, Tom Hardy, and Carrie Fisher. Since 2018 he has taught Method, Madness & Mindfulness workshops internationally and recently completed a Master's in Screenwriting at the University of Manchester.
