Djawid Hakimyar is a Hamburg-based commercial director working with Partizan in the US, UK, and France. A 2015 graduate of Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, he won the Cannes Young Director Award, the Deutscher Werbefilmpreis, and the CFP-E/shots Young Director Award that same year for his LBS spot "Wet Dream," a tableau-vivant extravaganza featuring over 80 extras choreographed around a swimming pool and shot at 1000 frames per second on the Phantom Flex camera. His 2014 PETA "Flying chicks" student film—rescued male chicks tumbling in slow motion against blue screen—earned him the 2016 Andy Awards Student Best in Show and became an official PETA Easter campaign. Hakimyar's commercial portfolio spans automotive (BMW "The Proposal," Toyota "Relax," Mercedes-Benz), beverage (Coors Light "Light Locker Room" and "Sealion," Astra beer, Strongbow cider), travel (First Choice "Ridiculous Value," Ouigo rail, Trivago), and retail (Kaufland's viral "Cheap Queen" rap anthem via Heimat Berlin). He is known for high-speed cinematography, large-cast choreography, absurdist humor, character-driven comedy, and seamless VFX integration, transforming everyday moments into kinetic, painterly compositions.
